¹“The priests, the Levites—all the tribe of Levi—shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel; they shall eat the offerings of the Lᴏʀᴅ made by fire, and His portion. ²Therefore they shall have no inheritance among their brethren; the Lᴏʀᴅ is their inheritance, as He said to them. ³“And this shall be the priest’s due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, whether it is bull or sheep: they shall give to the priest the shoulder, the cheeks, and the stomach. ⁴The firstfruits of your grain and your new wine and your oil, and the first of the fleece of your sheep, you shall give him. ⁵For the Lᴏʀᴅ your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to minister in the name of the Lᴏʀᴅ, him and his sons forever. ⁶“So if a Levite comes from any of your gates, from where he dwells among all Israel, and comes with all the desire of his mind to the place which the Lᴏʀᴅ chooses, ⁷then he may serve in the name of the Lᴏʀᴅ his God as all his brethren the Levites do, who stand there before the Lᴏʀᴅ. ⁸They shall have equal portions to eat, besides what comes from the sale of his inheritance. ⁹“When you come into the land which the Lᴏʀᴅ your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. ¹⁰There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, ¹¹or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. ¹²For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lᴏʀᴅ, and because of these abominations the Lᴏʀᴅ your God drives them out from before you. ¹³You shall be blameless before the Lᴏʀᴅ your God. ¹⁴For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the Lᴏʀᴅ your God has not appointed such for you. ¹⁵“The Lᴏʀᴅ your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear, ¹⁶according to all you desired of the Lᴏʀᴅ your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the Lᴏʀᴅ my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’ ¹⁷And the Lᴏʀᴅ said to me: ‘What they have spoken is good. ¹⁸I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. ¹⁹And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. ²⁰But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ ²¹And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the Lᴏʀᴅ has not spoken?’— ²²when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lᴏʀᴅ, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lᴏʀᴅ has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

¹Oh, give thanks to the Lᴏʀᴅ! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! ²Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! ³Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lᴏʀᴅ! ⁴Seek the Lᴏʀᴅ and His strength; Seek His face evermore! ⁵Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth, ⁶O seed of Abraham His servant, You children of Jacob, His chosen ones! ⁷He is the Lᴏʀᴅ our God; His judgments are in all the earth. ⁸He remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, ⁹The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac, ¹⁰And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant, ¹¹Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan As the allotment of your inheritance,” ¹²When they were few in number, Indeed very few, and strangers in it. ¹³When they went from one nation to another, From one kingdom to another people, ¹⁴He permitted no one to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, ¹⁵Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.” ¹⁶Moreover He called for a famine in the land; He destroyed all the provision of bread. ¹⁷He sent a man before them— Joseph—who was sold as a slave. ¹⁸They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. ¹⁹Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the Lᴏʀᴅ tested him. ²⁰The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free. ²¹He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his possessions, ²²To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his elders wisdom. ²³Israel also came into Egypt, And Jacob dwelt in the land of Ham. ²⁴He increased His people greatly, And made them stronger than their enemies. ²⁵He turned their heart to hate His people, To deal craftily with His servants. ²⁶He sent Moses His servant, And Aaron whom He had chosen. ²⁷They performed His signs among them, And wonders in the land of Ham. ²⁸He sent darkness, and made it dark; And they did not rebel against His word. ²⁹He turned their waters into blood, And killed their fish. ³⁰Their land abounded with frogs, Even in the chambers of their kings. ³¹He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, And lice in all their territory. ³²He gave them hail for rain, And flaming fire in their land. ³³He struck their vines also, and their fig trees, And splintered the trees of their territory. ³⁴He spoke, and locusts came, Young locusts without number, ³⁵And ate up all the vegetation in their land, And devoured the fruit of their ground. ³⁶He also destroyed all the firstborn in their land, The first of all their strength. ³⁷He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes. ³⁸Egypt was glad when they departed, For the fear of them had fallen upon them. ³⁹He spread a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light in the night. ⁴⁰The people asked, and He brought quail, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven. ⁴¹He opened the rock, and water gushed out; It ran in the dry places like a river. ⁴²For He remembered His holy promise, And Abraham His servant. ⁴³He brought out His people with joy, His chosen ones with gladness. ⁴⁴He gave them the lands of the Gentiles, And they inherited the labor of the nations, ⁴⁵That they might observe His statutes And keep His laws. Praise the Lᴏʀᴅ!

¹“Thus says the Lᴏʀᴅ to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held— To subdue nations before him And loose the armor of kings, To open before him the double doors, So that the gates will not be shut: ²‘I will go before you And make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron. ³I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lᴏʀᴅ, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel. ⁴For Jacob My servant’s sake, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me. ⁵I am the Lᴏʀᴅ, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me, ⁶That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting That there is none besides Me. I am the Lᴏʀᴅ, and there is no other; ⁷I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lᴏʀᴅ, do all these things.’ ⁸“Rain down, you heavens, from above, And let the skies pour down righteousness; Let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation, And let righteousness spring up together. I, the Lᴏʀᴅ, have created it. ⁹“Woe to him who strives with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ Or shall your handiwork say, ‘He has no hands’? ¹⁰Woe to him who says to his father, ‘What are you begetting?’ Or to the woman, ‘What have you brought forth?’ ” ¹¹Thus says the Lᴏʀᴅ, The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: “Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons; And concerning the work of My hands, you command Me. ¹²I have made the earth, And created man on it. I—My hands—stretched out the heavens, And all their host I have commanded. ¹³I have raised him up in righteousness, And I will direct all his ways; He shall build My city And let My exiles go free, Not for price nor reward,” Says the Lᴏʀᴅ of hosts. ¹⁴Thus says the Lᴏʀᴅ: “The labor of Egypt and merchandise of Cush And of the Sabeans, men of stature, Shall come over to you, and they shall be yours; They shall walk behind you, They shall come over in chains; And they shall bow down to you. They will make supplication to you, saying, ‘Surely God is in you, And there is no other; There is no other God.’ ” ¹⁵Truly You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior! ¹⁶They shall be ashamed And also disgraced, all of them; They shall go in confusion together, Who are makers of idols. ¹⁷But Israel shall be saved by the Lᴏʀᴅ With an everlasting salvation; You shall not be ashamed or disgraced Forever and ever. ¹⁸For thus says the Lᴏʀᴅ, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: “I am the Lᴏʀᴅ, and there is no other. ¹⁹I have not spoken in secret, In a dark place of the earth; I did not say to the seed of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in vain’; I, the Lᴏʀᴅ, speak righteousness, I declare things that are right. ²⁰“Assemble yourselves and come; Draw near together, You who have escaped from the nations. They have no knowledge, Who carry the wood of their carved image, And pray to a god that cannot save. ²¹Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the Lᴏʀᴅ? And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior; There is none besides Me. ²²“Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. ²³I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath. ²⁴He shall say, ‘Surely in the Lᴏʀᴅ I have righteousness and strength. To Him men shall come, And all shall be ashamed Who are incensed against Him. ²⁵In the Lᴏʀᴅ all the descendants of Israel Shall be justified, and shall glory.’ ”

¹Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete. ²And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. ³They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! ⁴Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your judgments have been manifested.” ⁵After these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened. ⁶And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothed in pure bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands. ⁷Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever. ⁸The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.
