Leviticus 5 · NKJV

1‘If a person sins in hearing the utterance of an oath, and is a witness, whether he has seen or known of the matter—if he does not tell it, he bears guilt. 2Or if a person touches any unclean thing, whether it is the carcass of an unclean beast, or the carcass of unclean livestock, or the carcass of unclean creeping things, and he is unaware of it, he also shall be unclean and guilty. 3Or if he touches human uncleanness—whatever uncleanness with which a man may be defiled, and he is unaware of it—when he realizes it, then he shall be guilty. 4Or if a person swears, speaking thoughtlessly with his lips to do evil or to do good, whatever it is that a man may pronounce by an oath, and he is unaware of it—when he realizes it, then he shall be guilty in any of these matters. 5And it shall be, when he is guilty in any of these matters, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing; 6and he shall bring his trespass offering to the Lᴏʀᴅ for his sin which he has committed, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats as a sin offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin. 7‘If he is not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring to the Lᴏʀᴅ, for his trespass which he has committed, two turtledoves or two young pigeons: one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. 8And he shall bring them to the priest, who shall offer that which is for the sin offering first, and wring off its head from its neck, but shall not divide it completely. 9Then he shall sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering on the side of the altar, and the rest of the blood shall be drained out at the base of the altar. It is a sin offering. 10And he shall offer the second as a burnt offering according to the prescribed manner. So the priest shall make atonement on his behalf for his sin which he has committed, and it shall be forgiven him. 11‘But if he is not able to bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, then he who sinned shall bring for his offering one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a sin offering. He shall put no oil on it, nor shall he put frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering. 12Then he shall bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it as a memorial portion, and burn it on the altar according to the offerings made by fire to the Lᴏʀᴅ. It is a sin offering. 13The priest shall make atonement for him, for his sin that he has committed in any of these matters; and it shall be forgiven him. The rest shall be the priest’s as a grain offering.’ ” 14Then the Lᴏʀᴅ spoke to Moses, saying: 15“If a person commits a trespass, and sins unintentionally in regard to the holy things of the Lᴏʀᴅ, then he shall bring to the Lᴏʀᴅ as his trespass offering a ram without blemish from the flocks, with your valuation in shekels of silver according to the shekel of the sanctuary, as a trespass offering. 16And he shall make restitution for the harm that he has done in regard to the holy thing, and shall add one-fifth to it and give it to the priest. So the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him. 17“If a person sins, and commits any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lᴏʀᴅ, though he does not know it, yet he is guilty and shall bear his iniquity. 18And he shall bring to the priest a ram without blemish from the flock, with your valuation, as a trespass offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him regarding his ignorance in which he erred and did not know it, and it shall be forgiven him. 19It is a trespass offering; he has certainly trespassed against the Lᴏʀᴅ.”

Psalm 3-4 · NKJV

Chapter 3

1A Psalm of David when he fled from Absalom his son. Lᴏʀᴅ, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. 2Many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him in God.” Selah 3But You, O Lᴏʀᴅ, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. 4I cried to the Lᴏʀᴅ with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill. Selah 5I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lᴏʀᴅ sustained me. 6I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me all around. 7Arise, O Lᴏʀᴅ; Save me, O my God! For You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone; You have broken the teeth of the ungodly. 8Salvation belongs to the Lᴏʀᴅ. Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah

Chapter 4

1To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A psalm of David. Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. 2How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? Selah 3But know that the Lᴏʀᴅ has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The Lᴏʀᴅ will hear when I call to Him. 4Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah 5Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the Lᴏʀᴅ. 6There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. 7You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased. 8I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lᴏʀᴅ, make me dwell in safety.

Proverbs 20 · NKJV

1Wine is a mocker, Strong drink is a brawler, And whoever is led astray by it is not wise. 2The wrath of a king is like the roaring of a lion; Whoever provokes him to anger sins against his own life. 3It is honorable for a man to stop striving, Since any fool can start a quarrel. 4The lazy man will not plow because of winter; He will beg during harvest and have nothing. 5Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, But a man of understanding will draw it out. 6Most men will proclaim each his own goodness, But who can find a faithful man? 7The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him. 8A king who sits on the throne of judgment Scatters all evil with his eyes. 9Who can say, “I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin”? 10Diverse weights and diverse measures, They are both alike, an abomination to the Lᴏʀᴅ. 11Even a child is known by his deeds, Whether what he does is pure and right. 12The hearing ear and the seeing eye, The Lᴏʀᴅ has made them both. 13Do not love sleep, lest you come to poverty; Open your eyes, and you will be satisfied with bread. 14“It is good for nothing,” cries the buyer; But when he has gone his way, then he boasts. 15There is gold and a multitude of rubies, But the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel. 16Take the garment of one who is surety for a stranger, And hold it as a pledge when it is for a seductress. 17Bread gained by deceit is sweet to a man, But afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel. 18Plans are established by counsel; By wise counsel wage war. 19He who goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets; Therefore do not associate with one who flatters with his lips. 20Whoever curses his father or his mother, His lamp will be put out in deep darkness. 21An inheritance gained hastily at the beginning Will not be blessed at the end. 22Do not say, “I will recompense evil”; Wait for the Lᴏʀᴅ, and He will save you. 23Diverse weights are an abomination to the Lᴏʀᴅ, And dishonest scales are not good. 24A man’s steps are of the Lᴏʀᴅ; How then can a man understand his own way? 25It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy, And afterward to reconsider his vows. 26A wise king sifts out the wicked, And brings the threshing wheel over them. 27The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lᴏʀᴅ, Searching all the inner depths of his heart. 28Mercy and truth preserve the king, And by lovingkindness he upholds his throne. 29The glory of young men is their strength, And the splendor of old men is their gray head. 30Blows that hurt cleanse away evil, As do stripes the inner depths of the heart.

Colossians 3 · NKJV

1If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. 5Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. 8But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. 12Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. 18Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them. 20Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord. 21Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. 22Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. 23And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. 25But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.
